Since our original inception in 1987 as a local chapter of the Dollars for Scholars organization, through our eventual incorporation as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation under the name of Dragon Scholarship Fund, Inc., our organization has awarded over $2,200,000 in scholarships to graduating Johnston seniors. Through the efforts of our volunteer board members and other community volunteers, we raise money in the community through personal and business donations, and at several events held throughout the year.
With many fundraising events hosted by the DSF each year, there are plenty of ways to join the community and help support Johnston students in their pursuit for higher education.
